PCI Bus – Peripheral Component Interconnect Testing
This test checks for the System PCI Bus and then performs several tests to check PCI Bus compliance. On rare occasions, some cards may cause this test to fail. A failure indicates non-compliance but may not cause system problems if proper drivers are loaded for the plug-in card in question.
Real-Time Clock/CMOS Testing
This function runs a memory data and address test on the system’s Real-Time Clock/CMOS RAM to ensure it is functioning properly. It tests all CMOS Functions and Interrupt Generations; verifies the CMOS Battery Status Bit; sizes CMOS RAM; checks CMOS RAM Data Lines, and the Real-Time Clock and its Alarm. The test loops continuously until you press a key to stop it. This allows you to run it for extended periods of time to test for intermittent failures.
