QuickTech Self Boot has two bootable modes:
• Self Boot Legacy Mode
Compatible with Legacy BIOS and UEFI BIOS (with legacy mode enabled) platforms. Legacy mode will provide the most functions when compared to UEFI Mode. Script flexibility, hardware information and comprehensive diagnostics are the main benefits to using Legacy Mode, therefore we highly suggest using this mode whenever the UUT permits.
• Self Boot UEFI Mode
Compatible with native UEFI based BIOS platforms, UEFI mode has a limited set of diagnostic tests specifically concentrating on the high failure components, such as CPU, Memory and HDD. Although tests are stronger than using any OS based tool, we recommend using Legacy Mode when possible for maximum test coverage.
