This article details the QuickCAST Server Refurbishment process. This article assumes you have already created the WinPE bootable media and installed the Refurbishment patch as described in your provisioning email.
When PXE booting a UUT(unit under test), you will notice a new menu option labeled Windows PE mode as shown in the image below.

Selecting this option will deploy the WinPE mode.
Once initialization is complete, the menu will load.

1. QuickCAST Server connection status
This color coded box displays QuickCAST Server connection status.
Green: Communication detected
Red: No Communication
2. Mapped Drives status
This color coded box displays Mapped Drive(s) status.
Green: Mapped drives available and will display the drive letter(s).
Red: No mapped drives established.
3. Performance CPU
This color coded box displays CPU Performance rating.
Green: CPU performance is good.
Red: CPU performance is below 1 GHz. It is suggested to install the AC power adapter to enable Intel speedstep if available.
4. Internet Access
This color coded box displays Internet access status.
Green: Internet access is available
Red: Internet access is not available
5. Total Fixed Drives
This color coded box displays total number of fixed drives detected.
Green: One or more drives detected. Total number will be shown.
Red: No drives detected.
6. Performance Disk
This color coded box displays Disk Performance status.
Green: NVMe, SSD, or High Speed Disk detected
Red: No high speed disks detected.
7. Battery
This color coded box displays Battery wear level status.
Green: Battery Wear Level / Battery Health is good.
Red: Battery Health is bad.
8. Primary HDD Drive
This color coded box displays HDD drive space status.
Green: Substantial disk space is available.
Red/Orange: Substantial disk space is not available.
9. Performance Memory
This color coded box displays Memory performance status.
Green: 4GB or more memory detected
Red/Orange: Less than 4GB or more memory detected. Test activity may be significantly reduced.
10. System Info
This color coded box displays System Information / Identification.
Vendor, model and system serial number will be displayed for branded systems.
If Windows product key is detected, it will be shown in teal. Double clicking the product ey will automatically copy to the clipboard for later pasting into Windows Installation prompt.
11. Automated Scripting
This menu function will provide a new submenu that performs automated scripting items.
12. Hardware Diagnostics
This menu function will provide a new submenu that performs automated hardware testing and diagnostics.
13. Windows Installation
This menu function will provide a new submenu for Windows installation.
14. HDD Erase
This menu function will launch the HDD Erase function.
Automated Scripting

The Automated scripting is the primary use for refurbishers as it provides 4 options specifically designed for PC Refurbishing.
a) R2 Script for Laptops
This scripting option will automatically perform a test script for Laptop form factors. At the completion of the test session, a report will be saved back to the QuickCAST Server. If you've installed the AUTO ERASURE patch, all disks detected will automatically be permanently erased. An erasure report will also automatically save back tot he QuickCAST Server.
b) R2 Script for Desktop / Servers
This scripting option will automatically perform a test script for Desktop & Server form factors. At the completion of the test session, a report will be saved back to the QuickCAST Server. If you've installed the AUTO ERASURE patch, all disks detected will automatically be permanently erased. An erasure report will also automatically save back tot he QuickCAST Server.
c) System Discovery
This scripting option will automatically perform a system discovery only and collect asset information and save to the QuickCAST Server. If you've installed the AUTO ERASURE patch, all disks detected will automatically be permanently erased. An erasure report will also automatically save back tot he QuickCAST Server.
d) Permanent Disk Erasure
This scripting option will automatically perform a HDD erase on all drives detected.
Hardware Diagnostic

Hardware Diagnostics will provide a scripting menu which the user simply selects a script to run.
If you've installed the AUTO ERASURE patch, all disks detected will automatically be permanently erased. An erasure report will also automatically save back tot he QuickCAST Server.
Windows OS Installation

The Windows installation function will provide a submenu to select various flavors of Windows OS to install. Simply select the Windows edition and architecture and setup will immediately begin.
Don't forget to double click the product key (if available) for easy copy and pasting.
Permanent Disk Erasure

The permanent disk erase function will display all detected drives and prompt for selection to erase and which pattern to use.
