How to perform a SMART Attribute precheck test prior to disk erasure?

To enable a Disk SMART Attribubte precheck test:

1. Open the disk erase script

2. Under the [Common] section set the value for SmartTest to 1

Example:

AutoErase=0
Delay=10
SaveLog=1

IgnoreUSB=1
SmartTest=1
SmartTestEx=1

 

Note:

Enabling a SMART disk precheck will cause disk drives to automatically ignore a disk wipe if the precheck result is FAIL.
