Healthcheck Pipeline Stages

Healthcheck runs as a stage pipeline. The first three stages are visual/telemetry driven, then malware and report stages finalize run evidence.

OS Scan

Collects operating system stability and runtime posture signals.

Hardware Scan

Captures hardware-level health indicators relevant to operational stability.

PC Optimisation

Runs cleanup and optimization workflow before final malware/report stages.

Malware Scan

Threat-oriented pass over common vulnerable areas.

Generate Report

Compiles all stage outcomes into a handoff-ready report.

Quick vs Extended: Choosing The Right Mode

Quick

Fast pass over critical areas for intake triage and same-day checks.

Extended

Adds deeper checks and broader metadata for remediation planning.

Default to Quick for throughput. Escalate to Extended for unstable systems, recurring performance complaints, or compliance-sensitive verification.

Operator Runbook

  1. Confirm run context (device/session ownership) and choose quick or extended mode.
  2. Start Healthcheck and monitor stage progression to completion.
  3. Capture stage anomalies and include operator notes before handoff.
  4. Validate generated report availability and route to responsible owner.

Malware And Report Stage Controls

Malware and report stages are execution-critical for evidence quality. In degraded operational scenarios, scan workflows may permit controlled continuation when prerequisites are met.

  • Keep definition updates current before malware execution
  • Avoid skipping malware unless your policy explicitly permits exception handling
  • Treat missing report generation as a run failure until rerun or manual recovery is complete

Never close a ticket as healthy if malware/report completion is unresolved.

Remediation Mapping

OS Findings

Address service failures, patch drift, and startup anomalies first.

Hardware Findings

Escalate to Coretest when subsystem confidence is insufficient.

Optimization Findings

Apply cleanup actions and recheck for measurable stability gain.

Malware Findings

Follow quarantine policy and rerun verification before handoff.

Quality Gate Before Device Release

  1. All intended stages completed and report generated.
  2. Critical findings either resolved or explicitly documented with risk ownership.
  3. Any follow-up module runs (Coretest/UAV) linked to the same run context.
