Santa Clara, CA – June 22nd, 2006 – Ultra-X, developer of customized PC diagnostic hardware and software solutions for the IT industry, announces the release of the world’s first PCI Express memory diagnostic solution, RAM Stress Test Professional PCI Express (R.S.T. PRO PCIe).

PCI Express is the most significant update to PC architecture in the past decade. PCI Express is the open standards- based successor to PCI and its variants for server and desktop system I/O interconnects. Unlike PCI and PCI-X, which are based on 32- and 64-bit parallel buses, PCI Express uses high-speed serial link technology similar to that found in Gigabit1 Ethernet, Serial ATA (SATA), and Serial-Attached SCSI (SAS). PCI Express reflects an industry trend to replace legacy shared parallel buses with high-speed point-to-point serial buses.

R.S.T. PRO PCI Express is a memory testing hardware/firmware solution designed for the rigorous testing needs of mobile pc memory and system manufacturers, design engineers, and service professionals. Self Booting and Operating System Independent make this memory diagnostic card an ideal solution for exercising and validating RAM in Desktops and Server PC systems that contain a PCI Express bus slot.
